Your Career, Your Development

At Parkhouse, everyone is encouraged to take ownership of their own individual learning & development. Whilst classroom based training provides a platform for the skills required to “do the job”, we also build on the strengths and talent of each individual to allow them to maximise their potential.

We have created a unique talent and development programme to engage everyone - from new starters to experienced managers:

TRAINING CAMP

Our 5-day induction programme is conducted in our “Virtual Office”, mirroring the surroundings where new employees work, learn processes and techniques in a safe environment; developing the confidence and ability to apply learning without the usual transition from classroom to workplace.

LEADERSHIP CAMP

This is aimed at employees who aspire to progress to management. Delegates complete a business analysis before attending. At the event, they undertake a range of challenges to identify strengths and development areas, and explore the role of a leader. Each person subsequently has a one to one career discussion with Board Members.

MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

Our MDP is designed to increase self-awareness, new ways of thinking and develop best practice in a culture where managers are regarded as the owners of their own business. Instead of dictating what makes a good manager, delegates explore their strengths and development areas in the context of themselves, their team and local market through experiential workshops, eModules, and feedback based on behavioural assessments.

By supporting people to develop as individuals, our employees are confident that they can reach their full potential and aspirations.
