parkhouse unveils salary survey for 2009
Parkhouse is pleased to announce the results of its annual salary survey, of permanent and temporary positions within the business support sectors across the country.
Given the current climate, it comes as no surprise that few organisations have increased salaries in 2009. However, salaries and benefits remain a key driver in attracting and retaining the right staff. People are a company's greatest asset, and with the current economic situation this is more important than ever.
Suzie McCafferty, Director Franchise said "The downturn has forced many organisations to make tough decisions with regard to their employees' pay. However, we have seen the best employers focus hard on maintaining the loyalty of their key staff through other measures such as increased training and comprehensive benefit packages. Whilst there have been some signs that the economic outlook is slightly better than it was, we anticipate that the pressure on pay will remain. We therefore expect to see more and more organisations working hard to look after their staff in other ways."
